Day 1
"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Psalm 127:1 NIV
Every great building starts the same way: surrender. Before the foundation is poured, a brick is ever laid, and the first plan is drawn, the builder must decide who will be in charge of the project. The same is true for your life. Every year, people have dreams, hopes, and plans, which is great, but if God isn't the one leading the building process, we can find ourselves exhausted, frustrated, and wondering why nothing seems to stand.
Psalm 127 reminds us that any house built without God eventually collapses, not because you weren't trying hard, but because you weren't designed to be your own builder. You were designed to depend on Him and Him alone. When you surrender your plans, your timeline, your fears, and your outcomes to God, you're not giving up control. You're inviting in supernatural strength, wisdom, and divine direction that you could never manufacture on your own.
Surrender isn't losing. Surrender is starting from the only place your life can truly be built: at the feet of Jesus
TODAY:
• Ask God to take the lead
• Identify one area you've been managing without God
• Replace striving with trusting
• Start your year with open hands— what you release to God, He can strengthen. What you cling to, He cannot restore.
