Baptism at Countryside

Baptism is a public declaration of your decision to follow Jesus. It’s a beautiful, symbolic act of obedience that represents the death of your old life and the beginning of your new life in Christ. At Countryside, we celebrate baptisms because they reflect the transformation, hope, and grace found only in Jesus.
Whether you're new to faith or you've followed Jesus for years and never been baptized, this is your moment.

What to Expect

Our baptism experience is simple, powerful, and filled with joy. We offer two types of baptisms throughout the year:

  • Sanctuary Baptisms: These take place indoors at the conclusion of weekend services across all campuses.
  • Beach Baptisms: Held a few times each year at a nearby beach, these outdoor baptisms offer a unique and memorable way to demonstrate your faith.
  • Infants & Children: At Countryside, we do not baptize infants or very young children. Instead, we offer child dedications, a special moment where parents commit to raising their child in a Christ-centered home, and a pastor prays a prayer of blessing over the child. We believe baptism is a personal decision for those who are old enough to understand and choose to follow Jesus for themselves.

No matter where it happens, each baptism is a celebration of life change and a reminder that you’re part of a church family that’s cheering you on. We will guide you every step of the way—from preparation to the big moment—so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Why Baptism Matters

Jesus was baptized, and He calls us to do the same. Baptism isn’t about being perfect—it’s about obedience, surrender, and stepping forward in your walk with Christ. It’s an outward expression of the inward change Jesus has made in your heart.

“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too may live a new life.” — Romans 6:4
