Day 18
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45 NIV
If anyone had the right to be served, it was Jesus, the King of Kings, the Creator of the universe. Yet, He chose the lowest position. He washed feet. He lifted the hurting. He touched the forgotten and stopped for the broken.
Jesus didn't just teach servanthood; He modeled it.
Serving isn't something extra in life as a Christian. It is the Christian life. It's how God shapes your heart, humbles your pride, and expands your influence. Serving takes your faith from being internal to being impactful. When you serve, you're not just helping people, you're reflecting Jesus.
Our culture celebrates status and recognition, but in the kingdom of God, He celebrates the opposite. The greatest people in God's eyes are those who quietly, yet consistently, serve others with love. When you make serving a lifestyle, you're building a life that looks like Jesus. It is a life that is steady, meaningful, and has eternal significance.
You were never called to be famous. You were called to be faithful. Serve like Jesus, and you'll find joy and purpose that nothing else can match.
Today:
• Who can you serve today?
• Make serving your default posture— ask yourself throughout the day, "Who can I help? How can I help lift someone else?"
• Serve where you are— no matter what season of life you're in, there is someone who needs Jesus, and you can impact.
