Day 4

Jan 11, 2025

Integrity is about living a life that aligns with God’s truth, both in public and in private. It means that your words, actions, and decisions reflect honesty and righteousness–even when no one is watching. Proverbs 10:9 reminds us that walking in integrity leads to security, while taking shortcuts or compromising our values will eventually lead to trouble.

Living with integrity requires consistency—choosing to honor God in all areas of life, from the big decisions to the small, everyday moments. It means being honest in your relationships, faithful in your commitments, and trustworthy in your actions. Integrity is not just about avoiding wrongdoing; it's about actively pursuing righteousness (doing right by God and others), justice, and truth.

Jesus exemplified perfect integrity. He was consistent in His character and faithful to His mission, even in the face of temptation and adversity. As His followers, we are called to follow His example, knowing that integrity strengthens our witness and deepens our relationship with God.

You may have heard someone say that they live with integrity so they can “sleep better at night”. There is a lot of truth to that! But for a Christian, integrity doesn’t only help us sleep well at night, but it helps us walk well during the day.

When we live with integrity, we experience joy and peace because we’re not hiding anything. We can walk confidently, knowing that we are living according to God’s own wisdom, and we can trust Him to guide us and protect us as we do.

Reflection:

- Are there areas in your life where you are tempted to compromise your integrity?

- How can you practice integrity in your relationships, work, or personal life?

- What does it mean to you to walk securely in your relationship with God?

Action Step:

Take a moment to reflect on your recent actions and decisions. Are they in line with God’s principles? If there are areas where you’ve compromised, ask God for forgiveness and commit to making choices that reflect His truth moving forward. Reach out to someone you trust for accountability if needed.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of integrity that Jesus set for me. Help me to walk in honesty and righteousness, even when it’s difficult. Give me the strength to resist temptation and the courage to stand for truth in every area of my life. I want my words and actions to reflect Your love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Proverbs 10:9 (NIV)

“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”
