Where is camp located?
Lake Placid Camp & Conference Center

What should I bring?
What are the sleeping arrangements?
Answer: Girls and Boys will be completely separate from each other, and are not allowed in or near the other's cabin. Students will also be separated by grade with middle school and high school being in different cabins. Students will be in a dorm style building with bunk beds and a common room in the middle. High school girls will be in more of a house style dorm living space with separate bedrooms. Fully background checked adult camp counselors will be spread evenly throughout each sleeping area.

Will cellphones be allowed?
Answer: Yes, cell phones will be allowed so students can contact their parent/guardian. We only ask to keep cell phones away during our morning and night sessions.

What safety precautions will be taken?
Answer: All adult counselors are completely background checked and already serve in our Youth group regularly. We have full time security on the campground with radio’s and golf carts to move around freely. We have two full time nurses on location to be available when needed.

What are the medication protocols?
Answer: With the exception of EpiPens and inhalers, all prescription medications must be turned into the Volunteer Medical Person. During check-in, the volunteer will be stationed to receive all medications. Students are not allowed to leave their medications with a leader or pastor. Any prescription medications turned into the Volunteer Medical Person must be in the original bottle and must have the student’s name on the original label or it will not be accepted.

Will Middle and High School be separate?
Answer: They’ll be together on teams during the day and for night sessions, but will have separate sleeping arrangements.

Is my student too young or too old to go?
Answer: If your student is entering 6th grade this fall—or just graduated high school this year—we’d love for them to join us at camp!
